Pamporovo is a modern ski resort which lies in the tree-covered Rhodope Mountains in the southeast of Bulgaria. The resort enjoys around 240 sunny days a year, and the surrounding high peaks keep it sheltered from the winds, so in winter preserve the snow cover on the ski slopes.
There are numerous ski runs of different categories, suiting all levels from beginners and early intermediates to professionals. The resort area's ski mountain, Snezhanka, offers a total length of 17.5km of alpine ski runs, serviced by 5 chair lifts and 13 tow lifts. The slopes include 'The Giant Slalom' and 'The Wall' for the most skilled, as well as 3 long-distance cross-country runs. There are good ski schools and a lively apres-ski.
All ski runs are safe guarded and maintained in a very good condition with snow cannons. More than 100 highly qualified ski instructors fluent in different languages are here to teach both beginners and intermediate skiers and snow boarders. |
